Sensory Input and the Law of Attraction

Sensory Input and the Law of Attraction

There is an overload of external stimuli bombarding us at any given moment in today’s high-paced world.  Without a filtering system to sort through the information, it is virtually impossible for our brains to handle all of that information without going into overload.  Every person has a specific threshold for what they can handle coming at them from the world.  Our built in filtering system helps keep us balanced by blocking out what we don’t need and giving us only what we can handle at the time.

The good news is that we all have a built-in powerful filtering system which filters out what we don’t require or can’t handle.  The challenge is that it sorts data according to our internal programming and values and beliefs.  Because of our filtering system, we may not see opportunities that arise in our lives because we are not preprogrammed to believe that we are worthy to receive the benefits of them.  If we have positive and empowering beliefs about money, relationships and success, our filtering system filters that information and opportunity to us as well.

Isn’t it amazing how two different people can go to the same restaurant with the same server at the same time and have completely different experiences?  That’s because we all interpret situations differently according to our programming and filtering system.  Similarly, two people can meet someone and have completely different opinions about that person.  While you might absolutely connect with someone immediately; your friend may not find them likeable at all.  The person you meet may remind you of a favorite aunt or uncle from your childhood but jolt your friend’s memory of their least favorite teacher from 3rd grade.

The same holds true about works of art, a vacation, a pastime, painting or vacation.  Our filtering system depends completely on our programming and conditioning.  As we begin to change our internal programming, our filtering system will begin to change as well.  If we begin to truly believe we deserve and our capable of achieving abundance, our filtering system will begin to find and notice people, events and circumstances to make that belief a reality.  If we begin to believe we are worthy of wonderful, intimate relationships, our filtering system will begin to help us attract good people into our world to make that happen.

We will also begin to block out things which go against our internal belief system like failure, poverty and struggle.  Our mind and our focus will be primarily attracted to those things which are in agreement with our inner beliefs.  Make a commitment today to develop positive and empowering beliefs so that your subconscious can begin to work toward helping you achieve your deepest desires and dreams.  Your subconscious brain is going to sift out what you don’t believe and filter in what you do, so begin to create a powerful and amazing belief system today!
