    Ego: Everything Good’s Outside

We’re all familiar with the term ego-maniac. What a perfect description of our ego. It can really be a maniac. It can convince us that everything good is outside ourselves. It can keep us focused on achieving to the point of not being satisfied with being. It can be the biggest obstacle on our path to enlightenment and peace.

The Power of Now by Donna Himel

If you close your eyes for a moment of peace, without regard to the past or the future, and ask yourself “what in this moment is lacking?” you will find that nothing in the present moment is lacking. If you’re not concerned about something that happened 10 years ago or five seconds ago and you don’t allow yourself to be anxious about anything in the future, two minutes from now or five years from now, you will find that there is nothing lacking in the present moment.

    Undo Your Blocks to Joy!

Why is it so hard for so many of us to experience and live in joy? Because we have developed so many blocks to it! We live in a culture with a “no pain, no gain” mentality. We are brought up to believe that we have to suffer and struggle and work our fingers to the bone. We are taught that life is supposed to be hard and we are bombarded with negativity every day. For many of us, if we woke up in paradise, it wouldn't be long before our minds began to say, “Yes, but...”

The Power of Joy! By Donna Himel

Joy is an amazingly powerful emotion and is a wonderful healing agent in our bodies and in our lives. The definition of joy is “well being or the prospect of possessing what one desires.” Life is meant to be joyous. One of my favorite writers and self-help public speakers is Christiane Northrup, who is a retired ob-gyn. She says she spent the first half of her life studying and teaching what could go wrong with the female body and is now committed to researching and teaching what is right with the female body. I love what she has to say about the healing power of joy and its ability to heal and energize your life.

Wishes Fulfilled (continued) by Donna Himel

Yesterday I introduced an upcoming book, Wishes Fulfilled, by Wayne Dyer. I am extremely excited for the release of this book, and wanted to further explain why. Imagination. The greatest gift that you’ve been given is the gift of your imagination. Everything that now exists in the world was first in imagination. It’s the only thing you have that is available to you at all times to create the life you want. You have to go within first and create it in your imagination and then hold it in your imagination no matter what the world around you says or does. The only way to change the concept of yourself is through your imagination.

Think Abundantly With Law of Attraction By Donna Himel

An acorn is an amazing example of the law of attraction in action. The nucleus of an acorn, which is preprogrammed to become an oak tree, will attract everything it needs to itself to grow into a massive oak tree: the sunlight, the nutrients from the soil and the water. We, too, can attract everything we need to ourselves to become who we want to become. Our nucleus, or point of attraction, is our thoughts. The beauty of our growth, though, is that are able to choose what we want to become through the power of our mind and intellect.

A Scientific Way of Thinking by Donna Himel

I remember hearing for the first time that there was a scientific way of thinking which produced success and riches from Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich back in the 90’s. Napoleon Hill spent years studying the most successful people in the country. He dedicated his life to understanding what the differences were in people who had accumulated wealth and financial success in their lives. What he found was that the main difference was in the way they used their thoughts and their intellect.

Personal Development Training – The Power of Our Thoughts

The most powerful energy we have available to us for creating the life we desire also rules and created the world: Thought. It controls everything in the material world because everything that was ever created was first a thought. As we begin to understand the power of our thoughts, we have to make a commitment to establish the discipline required to shift and change our habitual thought patterns. You must think on a higher frequency. The fullness of our life consists of intelligence and the power of thought. We have been blessed with a high degree of intelligence but we don’t always utilize the amazing power that is available to us.

Law of Vibration – What Drum Beat Are You Beating? By Donna Himel

My son, Josh’s favorite gift this Christmas was a PS3 and one of his favorite games was Rock Band. The purpose of the game is to emulate the beat of a professional drummer during certain popular songs. Watching Josh play this game made me think about the power of a drum beat in creating vibrations. I love Esther Hicks analogy of how our thoughts and words become a drum beat which create the frequency at which we vibrate and therefore attract things into our life.

A Thought that I Keep Thinking By Donna Himel

Driving home from yoga last night, I was listening to The Vortex by Esther Hicks for the umpteenth time and was once again blown away by the powerful ideas contained in this remarkable CD. The idea I want to share with you today is the premise that “a belief is just a thought that you keep thinking.” A belief is just a pattern of thought that you have developed. It is a habitual way of looking at and thinking about something. This is so powerful because it is our beliefs which control the destiny of our lives!
