    Love Your Inner Child

Many people struggle with self-love and acceptance. Loving and forgiving ourselves for past mistakes or failures can be a challenge, especially if you grew up in a dysfunctional home where you felt the need to be perfect in order to keep things together at home. Perfection is impossible: we are all human and make mistakes.

Sensory Input and the Law of Attraction

There is an overload of external stimuli bombarding us at any given moment in today’s high-paced world. Without a filtering system to sort through the information, it is virtually impossible for our brains to handle all of that information without going into overload. Every person has a specific threshold for what they can handle coming at them from the world. Our built in filtering system helps keep us balanced by blocking out what we don’t need and giving us only what we can handle at the time.

Self Improvement Training – Look past Dr. Spock’s Self-Destructive Advice

Most people’s deepest fear is that they are not good enough. Many of us struggle with a negative and weak self-image. Many times, our level of mental health can be measured by the amount of love and affirmation we received from our parents. As a result of this lack of affirmation and love as a child, it is easy to understand why many people develop deep insecurities and lack of confidence in our own ability to achieve our goals and dreams. Dr. Spock was a very influential parental guide in the 1950’s and 60’s and I believe he was directly responsible for the level of neurosis which exists in our world today. At the time, Dr. Spock was the expert on child rearing and influenced thousands of parents, especially mothers, in the development of their parental philosophies and self improvement training. His book was the parent’s bible at the time. Many of us are the product of this destructive parental advice.

Change your Thoughts, Change Your Life: A Universal Law of Attraction by Donna Himel

Self-help author, Wayne Dyer, tells a great story of when he was a curious young boy and cut an acorn in half to try and discover the magic inside. He wondered what caused that small seed to grow into a giant oak tree. What he discovered was that there wasn’t a mini oak tree inside. Like us, an acorn is nothing but energy. The atoms inside our body are swirling around at an unbelievable speed of 386,000 miles per hour. The most powerful form of energy we posses is the power of our thoughts. Our thoughts create our reality. In his amazing law of attraction book, “Thoughts are Things”, Prentice Mulford says, “We need to be careful of what we think and talk. Because thought runs in currents as real as those of air and water.”
