The Power of Now by Donna Himel

If you close your eyes for a moment of peace, without regard to the past or the future, and ask yourself “what in this moment is lacking?” you will find that nothing in the present moment is lacking. If you’re not concerned about something that happened 10 years ago or five seconds ago and you don’t allow yourself to be anxious about anything in the future, two minutes from now or five years from now, you will find that there is nothing lacking in the present moment.

A Great Personal Development Seminar by Donna Himel

I wanted to discuss an upcoming motivational book, Wishes Fulfilled, by Wayne Dyer. I say upcoming because it hasn’t gone to the presses yet but Dyer previewed it in his keynote address in Tampa, Florida in November. I can’t wait to read it when it is released. He writes all of his motivational books with the end in mind. He comes up with the idea first and then creates a cover in his mind. The power of your imagination is the major theme of his new book and of his key note address. I would like to share the overview of the book in progress with you here.

Self Confidence – Recognize Who You Really Are!

The first step toward loving yourself and living your spirit is to recognize who you really are. So many of us have been brought up to believe that we’re unacceptable, sinful and contemptible beings. Self-love starts with knowing that we are Spirit. Yes, we have physical bodies, personalities, egos, histories and experiences but we are not those things.

    Thoughts Become Things

With the incredible success of Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Secret, most people have heard about the Power of your Thoughts and the Power of Attraction to create the life you deserve. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like and what you predominantly think about you attract into your life. Your mind becomes a powerful magnet or transmission tower drawing to itself what it is primarily thinking about. James Allen said it well, “Thoughts Become Things.”

Honoring Your Worthiness to Receive by Donna Himel

Many of us have been brought up to believe that we are unworthy to receive great things in our life. We were taught that life is supposed to be hard: the no pain, no gain philosophy of life. Many times, we were taught these untruths at such a young age that we just accepted them as the truth. The truth is, however, that we are more than worthy to receive abundance and enjoy prosperity in our lives. We are children of God and He wants to see us happy and fulfilled, to live our life’s dream and to prosper and enjoy ourselves. A great affirmation to remind yourself of this is “I deserve to experience divine abundance for I am a part of God.”

Power of Visualization by Donna Himel

Visualization is one of the most powerful tools available to you in reprogramming your subconscious mind and creating the life you desire. The subconscious mind cannot distinguish between fiction and reality. It automatically accepts the message your conscious mind gives it through your repetitive thoughts and imagination. If you say to yourself, “I’m such a loser”, the subconscious mind accepts that as reality and you will continue to lose. The subconscious must obey the commands and messages your conscious mind repetitively gives it.

    Frustration

Tony Robbins says, "We should celebrate frustration because it means we are about to experience a huge breakthrough." The next time you feel frustrated ask yourself what breakthroughs you can experience.

    The Real Issue

Most of the time when we are upset it is not for the reason we think it is. "My boss said something to me I didn't like, my girlfriend hurt my feelings, my kids are driving me crazy". These are all things we may have been upset about, but the real issue is almost always something deeper. Is it an underlying feeling of inadequacy?

    Trusting Ourselves

We always have the answers. No matter the situation, no matter the challenge, we always have the answers. The problem is we have made mistakes in the past and this has caused us to lose trust. When faced with an important decision get quiet.
