The Power of Now by Donna Himel
If you close your eyes for a moment of peace, without regard to the past or the future, and ask yourself “what in this moment is lacking?” you will find that nothing in the present moment is lacking. If you’re not concerned about something that happened 10 years ago or five seconds ago and you don’t allow yourself to be anxious about anything in the future, two minutes from now or five years from now, you will find that there is nothing lacking in the present moment. -

Undo Your Blocks to Joy!
Why is it so hard for so many of us to experience and live in joy? Because we have developed so many blocks to it! We live in a culture with a “no pain, no gain” mentality. We are brought up to believe that we have to suffer and struggle and work our fingers to the bone. We are taught that life is supposed to be hard and we are bombarded with negativity every day. For many of us, if we woke up in paradise, it wouldn't be long before our minds began to say, “Yes, but...” -

The Power of Joy! By Donna Himel
Joy is an amazingly powerful emotion and is a wonderful healing agent in our bodies and in our lives. The definition of joy is “well being or the prospect of possessing what one desires.” Life is meant to be joyous. One of my favorite writers and self-help public speakers is Christiane Northrup, who is a retired ob-gyn. She says she spent the first half of her life studying and teaching what could go wrong with the female body and is now committed to researching and teaching what is right with the female body. I love what she has to say about the healing power of joy and its ability to heal and energize your life. -

Create Magical Moments
One of the things I was always been committed to was taking memorable family vacations. There is no better way to create magical moments which will last a lifetime. My father passed away when I was a baby and I grew up with a single mom on a very limited budget. While she was incredible at creating stability and security for us and for making sure we had three square meals every day, she didn’t feel she had the time or resources available to take us on family trips or excursions. -

Kids Just Want to Have Fun!
Sitting and watching Josh’s Y basketball practice yesterday, I had to marvel at the amazing ability in kids to have fun! During the hour-long practice, every child there was having an absolute blast. During lay-up drills, fun, during free-throw shooting practice, laughter and fun, during four on four competitions, more hilarious amusement and fun. I’m not talking about a little enjoyment; I’m talking about cheering, belly-laughing, ear-to-ear smiling, running, scrambling fun! -

Relationship Problem Advice – Don’t Fear Loneliness!
Learn to harness the power of Law of Attraction and manifestation for relationship problem advice and a healthy connection. The Universal laws of attraction impact every part of your existence, including your love life. But when problems arise, you have to ask yourself: Am I maintaining a positive thought vibration that allows Law of Attraction and manifestation? You should be co-creating a beautiful life with the person you love rather than simply hoping to reach a certain number of years together. -

How to Change Your Life by Changing your Sensory Input
If you’re wondering how to change your life then you have to change the way you perceive life. For example three people see a red Porsche on the road, and all three perceive it differently. One person thinks he can’t buy a Porsche, the second thinks what he can do to buy one, and the third person is already planning to buy a whole Porsche dealership! What we "see" depends on what filters we have operating in our lives. We only see and hear what we are conditioned to see. Human power lies in the capacity to choose. Unfortunately, the cultures we grow up in, by and large, do not teach us how to make true life affirming choices. Instead we are taught not to "rock the boat" and to follow the status quo. -

Life’s supposed to be fun! by Donna Himel
Life’s supposed to be fun, regardless of what you may have been told! You did not come forth to struggle and be miserable. It is the journey which matters most, so enjoy it. If you were about to embark on a European vacation, would you step out onto the front porch and say “forget it, we’re just going to end up back here anyway, so I might just as well stay here?” Of course not, because it is the incredible journey which matters most, not the destination.
