Perception is reality — Build self confidence for self improvement

One of the key ingredients to a successful life is belief in one's self. Without self confidence how can you hope to meet the challenges that you are bound to face in life? You must believe that you are worthy of the things you desire. Do not let past setbacks or failures stand in your way. You are living in the present and this is where your actions will count. Remember the errors of yesterday only to learn from them. Use this knowledge to avoid the same pitfalls in the future.

    Gratitude by Donna Himel

There is nothing more empowering and nothing that will cause more and more to flow into your life than gratitude. Wallace Wattles says in his fantastic book, The Science of Getting Rich that the whole process of mental adjustment and attunement can be summed up in one word: gratitude. He goes on to say that the good things you already possess have come to you because of certain laws. Gratitude alone can keep you from falling into the error of thinking that the supply of riches is limited.

    Fear of Success

One of my favorite quotes is from Marianne Williamson in A Return to Love: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

In the new millennium you must either be the cheapest or the best. If you are neither the cheapest nor the best, you will fail." - Tom Peters Too many times we try to play in the middle ground. It used to be that you could be simply good at something and survive. No longer.

    Frustration

Tony Robbins says, "We should celebrate frustration because it means we are about to experience a huge breakthrough." The next time you feel frustrated ask yourself what breakthroughs you can experience.

    Unclutter Your Clutter

Time management can initially seem like a daunting and even impossible undertaking. This is especially true if you are sitting behind a desk full of clutter and disarray. On a daily basis, I meet with sales professionals that are missing daily appointments, deadlines and ultimately huge sales opportunities because they fail at getting control of their day to day on a small scale. When dealing with time management, the first steps begin at the practical basics. As easy as it sounds, not enough people take the time to unclutter their clutter!
