Meet Marvin
Marvin Himel has over 30 years experience in sales and sales training. For the last 8 years, his focus has been on sales training for individuals, small businesses, and corporations. He is the President, and founder, of Tiger Quest, an international Sales Training company. He lives, eats, and breathes Sales Training and is dedicated to providing the latest methods to interested readers via his website, blog, and other social media platforms. Marvin is a man on a mission to put ethics and integrity back into the world of sales, and teach salespeople how to understand the psychological aspect of the buyers’ purchasing decisions. If you ask him how he is doing, his usual response is “Outstanding!”
Tiger Quest was created in 2001 from Marvin’s, strong desire to see salespeople stop struggling and start succeeding. As a former sales manager and officer at the executive level for companies such as MCI, Lanier, Lightyear, Epicus and Qwest, Marvin’s 28 years of successful experience in sales and management led to the formation of this company. After training hundreds of salespeople, he has formulated a powerful and effective system for success in sales.
The Tiger System was developed to show salespeople how to systemize their approach to sales and to provide them with the necessary tools to be able to produce incredible results in their career. After repeatedly hearing the question, “How did you do it?” when he experienced phenomenal success in sales and broke company and industry records, Marvin began to formulate a method which others could emulate and implement to create incredible results for themselves as well. His intense desire to put the steps he took to succeed into a formalized process for others to easily use and put into practice is where the Tiger System began.
Tiger Quest is also the result of Marvin’s incredible passion and love for teaching and his unbelievable desire to see others succeed. As a former minister, Marvin’s entire life is based on helping others. There is nothing more satisfying to the staff at Tiger Quest than watching salespeople implement this system and succeed beyond their wildest imaginations. Watching the light bulb go off in a salesperson’s mind when they suddenly grasp a concept and truly “get it” is like watching a kid opening a present on Christmas morning for the entire Tiger Quest staff.
One of our favorite quotes here at Tiger Quest is from Dawson Trottman, the founder of Navigators. “If you go through life and you haven’t changed people’s lives, then you haven’t accomplished anything at all.” What we love to do here is change people’s lives by changing the amount of success they are able to achieve in their career. Marvin resides in Jacksonville Beach, Florida with his wife, Donna. They share the joy of having a family consisting of 4 sons, and a dog named Izzy. If he is not sales training his next favorite loves are walking on the beach and reading.
